Principal AWS Architect

Contract: 12 months
Location: Hybrid - Dublin City Centre
Daily Rate: Market Rate

As a Principal AWS Architect, you will lead cloud architecture direction, own end-to-end solution design, and provide senior technical leadership across enterprise client engagements.

Role Overview

• Define cloud strategy, target architectures, and technology roadmaps.

• Lead the design of scalable, secure AWS solutions aligned to business objectives.

• Oversee architectural governance, technical delivery, and solution quality.

• Develop migration strategies, implementation plans, and architectural blueprints.

• Mentor engineering teams and support capability development.

• Shape solutions during sales/presales cycles, including estimation and technical input.

• Provide expert guidance across performance, security, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Significant experience in cloud and software architecture, ideally in large-scale environments.

• Deep expertise in AWS services and cloud-native architectures.

• Broad technical knowledge across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, and security.

• Hands-on experience with React/Angular, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of integration patterns (API-led, event-driven) and Java/.NET ecosystems.

• Familiarity with cloud adoption frameworks, security best practices, and operational models.

• Excellent stakeholder management and proposal/presales experience.

• Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, TOGAF, etc.) preferred.
